We are seeking to appoint a full time or two part time Lecturers in ESOL, to teach on full and part-time ESOL courses on a range of levels from Pre-Entry to Level 2 including group tutorials, numeracy and IT for ESOL. This may involve some evening classes.

You will possess a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant vocational area, together with an approved English Language Specialist Teaching qualification (minimum CELTA/ Cert TESOL) and should have experience of teaching ESOL, preferably in an FE setting. You should also have experience of delivering Functional Skills English L1/L2 and numeracy / IT / vocational subjects to ESOL students. If you do not possess the Diploma in Education and Training (DET) qualification, you will be supported financially by the College to achieve this.

Applications are invited for the position of Events and Communications Assistant at the Wellcome-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (CSCI) to support the busy communications and events programmer. The Institute is a world-leading Centre of excellence for stem cell research with 29 group leaders, 37 affiliated group leaders and active grants totaling >£100 million. The Institute also serves as a hub for the wider stem cell research community in Cambridge of one of the University's Interdisciplinary Research Centers 

The primary role of this post is to support the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute's communications and events programmed and strategy in order to continue to promote the Institute as a world class research center. The role will involve key support in organizing scientific seminars, events and symposia on a national and international scale. Additionally, the role will be involved with maintaining the Institute website, social media platforms and the design and development of printed communication materials such as flyers, posters and brochures.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience in events coordination and in the design and production of printed and online communications materials. It is essential that the candidate have written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail, ideally educated to degree level. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop communications and events organization skills in a dynamic and varied role, and would suit an individual looking to develop a long term career in this field.

This is a part time role working 18.25 hours per week (0.5FTE). There is flexibility how these hours are distributed across the working week and depending on which events are running. Informal enquiries are welcomed and should be directed to Laura Puhl lmp58@cam.ac.uk.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Library in providing high quality library enquiry and user support services during evenings and weekends.

This varied role will suit someone enthusiastic about working with students and a positive approach to customer service. You will staff a range of service points skills responding to a range of enquiries in person, over the phone and online; work with colleagues across the Library team; complete administrative tasks; and have the opportunity to support and contribute library service development.

You will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. You will have good IT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, the ability to work well with colleagues and students of all backgrounds
