Swindon Marriott Hotel is looking for its next Casual Conference and Banqueting Associate!
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and dynamic Part Time Conference and Banqueting Associate to join the team. The Swindon Marriott Hotel is firmly established and located at the gateway to the Cotswolds equipped with 9 event rooms, two maximum breakout rooms, and a pillarless ballroom, ideal for everything from social celebrations to corporate meetings.
Located at the gateway to the Cotswolds, Swindon Marriott Hotel is situated close to the historic Old Town, the Swindon train station, Swindon Designer Outlet and the Steam Museum. This alongside convenient transport links to popular destinations like Bath, Oxford and Stonehenge which makes it the perfect destination to cater for a whole range of guests.
As well as the meetings and event space, the hotel itself has picturesque views over the gardens and a range of facilities including: Cast Iron Bar & Grill, our signature restaurant, and Swindon Marriott Leisure Club, fully equipped with an air conditioned gym, a steam room and sauna, heated loungers, a beauty salon, and a hairdresser.

As the Casual Conference and Banqueting Associate you will:
- You will be flexible regarding the hours worked but mostly during the weekends
- Set-up meeting and banqueting rooms ready for the guests arrival
- Seve refreshments, food and beverage items during events and functions
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Embrace the Marriott culture
A successful Casual Conference and Banqueting Associate is someone who:
- Has previous Food & Beverage serving experience or in similar environment
- Is proactive, reliable and can work alone or in a team
- Has an excellent eye for detail
- Is an strong communicator (verbal, listening, writing)

Leading by example and putting all the PVH Values to practice are also of importance in this role. You will be inspiring your team to generate sales & profit, minimize losses, and create the best possible customer experience whilst ensuring the store is visually distinctive & impeccably maintained.
Responsibilities include:
- Be able to demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and possess successful link selling skills to drive business.
- Holding the ability to outfit build for customers will be essential, our Sales Associates should also be able to make further product recommendations and drive our store KPI’s.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with our customers, to secure regular clienteles is possible.
- Being a Brand Ambassador and maintaining a keen interest in current fashion and market trends.
- Ensuring shop and stock room maintenance, presentation and organization issues are addressed in an appropriate manner.
- Show flexibility and innovation when reacting to the changing business environment especially around peak trade.
About YOU
- Have previous experience within hospitality/retail
- Be hardworking with great communication skills
- Have an interest in Fashion/Retail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to multitask in high pressure environments
- Be passionate to drive sales using our digital platforms!
