A BIT ABOUT NET WORLD SPORTS
As an image retouched for Net World Sports you’ll be editing product images from our multiple in-house brands which range from sports equipment to home, garden and leisure products. You’ll be apart of a larger team of photo editors, photographers, videographers and graphic designers.
We require a high level of attention to detail, to ensure our images are published at the highest standard to our e-commerce platforms. Being on the ball and organized are key to be able to off load assets to the various members of our sub-teams.
We are a business with brands in various markets, some complete spectrums apart. Images you’ll be editing can vary day to day, from pack shots and product shots to portraits lifestyle and landscape images.
We’re looking for someone who has experience in editing photos, can use photoshop to a high level, understanding of the wider creative cloud suite and a good understanding of photography.
THE ROLE:
- Daily editing of images. These will range from simple touch ups to color correcting and grading to more complex compositing.
- Ensuring images are delivered to various teams at Net World Sports on time, correctly exported and to a high standard.
- Ensure the server storage is organized for all image assets and easily navigated for the wider creative teams.
- Edit images to our set brand guidelines for each of our established brands.
- You’ll be working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment where deadlines are tight and change with varying priorities.
- Working with the wider teams in the business is key, you must be a good communicator for the progress of images and when images will be completed.
- Have a good understanding of photography. You’ll work closely with our photographers, so understanding how they take photos is key.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SHOW US:
- A strong understanding of Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge.
- A basic understanding of Illustrator and complimentary creative cloud apps.
- You’ll be proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to multi-task.
- You’ll be self-motivated, have a positive and be hard working.
- You’ll have clear and efficient communication skills.
- You’ll have the ability to work within a team, excelling under pressure with a flexible attitude.
- You will have the proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
- You’ll thrive in fast-paced, changeable, and sometimes high-pressured environments.
- You’re able to take accountability for your own workload.
- Your mind is full of ideas, and you’ll be constantly suggesting ways that we can improve.
- A good understanding of photography (desirable).
- Working with a graphics tablet (desirable).

This role is based in our Wrexham office, full-time. We're unable to offer remote-working, and require a quick start so we're unable to consider applications outside of the.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Predominantly 9.00am - 5.30pm, however we also offer flexi hours 3 days a week.

Full Job Description
The role will be based at our Production Centre in Ret tendon, so having your own transport will be essential. We are looking for people who have computer skills, a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
You need to be great working as part of a team and working to deadlines with a keen eye for detail, and a pride in ensuring that your work is always to the highest standard. Full training will be provided, the role will involve editing school portraits and digitally stitching class groups together.
The role will primarily be 8:30-5:00pm, Monday to Friday and seasonal (approx. 8 months of the year). There will also be extended hours and shifts which will vary between the hours of 6:00am-10:00pm to coincide with our peak times.

- Execute photo research for both the web and print editions of WIRED.
- Research, source, license, and edit photos for.
- Produce all FOB shoots, including Gear section.
- Archive, label, and organize images on our image database.
- Obtain image references for illustrators.
- Review photographer portfolios and continuously search for new talent and potential photo essays, for both & US print and online.
- Be familiar with WIRED’s editorial and have a clear understanding of what makes an image “WIRED”
- 3+ years of work experience in photography, media or relevant fields.
- Experienced photo editor with a strong portfolio of work across print and digital editorial photography.
- Demonstrated experience commissioning and supervising complex photoshoots to exacting requirements under tight time constraints and within budget.
- An extensive database of photography talent and track record of finding and recruiting new talent.
- Thorough knowledge of artist rights and copyright law.
- Knowledge of digital and social content.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills.
- Can creatively translate the needs of the brands and client into high quality output through a detailed understanding of the requirements of the platforms.

We are looking for photography volunteers who have:
- Strong photography skills.
- A good artistic eye and feel for an aesthetically beautiful shot
- Good Adobe Photoshop skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Suitable photography equipment and editing software
General tasks may include:
- Collating all photos taken after the event/photoshoot and sending to the team electronically as soon as possible.
- Participating in evening and weekend events/activities when needed
- Arranging props/material for photoshoots
- Capturing images, within agreed timeframes, to display and color compliance standards
- Performing quality control checks on images, according to guidelines
- Post-processing of images, including cropping, colour corrections, etc
- Naming digital files and creating metadata/tags as required for upload to the photo library
